Rita Holdren

Rita Naylor Holdren, 92, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Hilltop Healthcare Center in Hilltop, WV. Born September 28, 1911 at Amma, WV she was the daughter of the late Tarlton Vaughn and Rose Emma Brannon Naylor. Mrs. Holdren was a Christian of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos "Buck" Holdren; sisters, Dora Boothe, Sadie Keller, Retta Sumpter, Stella Butcher, Jessie Huddleston and Ella Tryall; brothers, Tarlton V. Naylor, Andrew Naylor and Aaron Naylor.. Mrs. Holdren was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She is survived by nieces, Norma Tichenor, Genevieve Elmore, Madeline Hamilton, Beatrice Sumpter and Annie Sumpter; nephews, Woodrow (Thelma) Butcher, Bill (Jean) Sumpter of Missouri and by any more nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, April 24, 2004, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Sunday, April 25, 2004 at 1:00 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Bob Creed officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Nephews will serve as pallbears.
