Rita Louise Criss Evans , 69, of Prudence, WV died on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Fayette Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville, WV. Born June 05, 1943 at Prudence, WV she was the daughter of the late Glennie and Helen Kochinsky Criss. She was a former hostess for the Comfort Inn. Rita attended the Harvey United Methodist Church. A daughter, Sally Evans; sister, Glenna Whitney and brother, Frankie Criss preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Annette Evans of Oak Hill; three sons, Bill Evans and wife, Martha of Prudence, Glenn Evans and wife, Annette M. of Prudence and Roger Evans and wife, Cara of Summerlee; sisters, Lorrina Dilly of Prudence, Carol Horten of Fayetteville and Barbara Anders of Ghent; brothers, Gene Criss of Texas and Joe Criss of Hilltop; six step brothers and four step sisters. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Graveside rites will be on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Hilltop Cemetery with Rev. Betty Lusk officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Harvey United Methodist Church, PO Box 225, Glen Jean WV 25846.
