Richard Gale Worlledge, Sr.

Gale "Pops" Worlledge, Sr., 81 of Lochgelly passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill.

Born September 24, 1941 in Nallen, WV he was the son of the late Willie and Tressie Humphries Worlledge.

Gale was a 1961 graduate from Collins High School, a proud United States Navy Veteran where he worked as a Boiler Technician. Was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church all of his life, he enjoyed playing games on his computer, watching all of WVU ball games, watching wrestling, enjoyed watching the birds and Gale was the families proud  peanut butter fudge maker.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Davis Worlledge; son, Richard "Ricky" Worlledge, Jr.; 3 sisters, Dorma, June, and Gaythel; and 2 brothers, Riley and Ariel.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include daughter, Kathi Fitzwater (Wayne); 2 granddaughters, Amanda Wright (David) and Autumn Moncure (Jason); 6 great grandchildren; special nephew, Taylor Redden (Kim); sister, Janice Morgan; sister-in-law, Phyllis Davis; brother-in-law, Roger Davis; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Fayetteville, WV.

Visitation for friends be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the church.

Pallbearers will be Matt Lawhorn, Taylor Redden, Jerry Morgan, Steve Vawn, Ronnie Whitlock, and Blaine Woodson.
