Richard Elbert Williams , 83, of Beckley, WV died on Monday, November 07, 2011 at Heartland of Beckley in Beckley, WV. Born August 27, 1928 at Price Hill, WV he was the son of the late Harvey and Rebecca Painter Williams. Mr. Williams retired from the WV Department of Highways in Raleigh County with 28 years service and from Ted Davis Esso in Bradley with 20 years service. His wife, Frances P. Canterbury Williams, son, Roger Williams, six brothers, Wilbert, Harlow, Harvey, Lovell, Troy and Ed Williams and four sisters, Virginia Rhodes, Brookie Evans, Pearl Stamper and Ruby Daniels preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, Ricky Williams and wife, Betty of Beckley, WV, two daughters, Patricia Campbell and husband, John of St. Louis, MO and Pamela Peterman and Debbie of Cincinnati, OH and a brother, Grady Williams of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are his grandson, Keith Campbell and girlfriend, Karn Choosi of St. Louis, MO, one granddaughter, Rebecca Williams of Toledo, OH, great granddaughter, Sidney Lezesa and soon to be born great granddaughter, Anjulie Jade Campbell , his devoted friend, Jim Garrett and wife, Inas and his Heartland roommate, Ray Lester. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill with Pastor Steve Massey officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM.
