Rev. Richard Marshall Bradley, 83, of Oak Hill, WV passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020, as the result of a tragic accident at his home.
Born February 21, 1938, in Scarbro, WV he was the son of the late Richard E.and Bertie Francis Toney Bradley.
Richard was a United States Army Veteran after which he worked as an ironworker and was a member of the Boilermakers Union 667.
A credentialed minister in the state of West Virginia, Dick was former Pastor of Jones Avenue First Church of God in Oak Hill, an Evangelist for 25 years, and active in Pastor's Fellowship in Winchester, KY. He was a graduate of Clarksville, TN School of Theology, Editor and Chief of the Reformation Witness publication, and was the author of several books. Rev. Bradley is best known for his lectures on the book of Revelation. His heart was in missions and teaching others the word. He took several mission trips to South America and spent one year in Honduras. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer.
His son-in-law, Ned Rady preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Carol Ann Affolter Bradley; daughters, Marcia Woodard (Kenny) of Oak Hill, Terri Bradley of Oak Hill, and Brittany Bennett (Tommy) Oak Hill; sons, Richard Bradley (Patti) of Montgomery, and Scott Bradley of Oak Hill; 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, brother, Omar Edward Bradley (Nancy) of Scott Depot; and a host of friends throughout the country.
There will be a private family-only funeral service on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at the Jones Avenue First Church of God with Pastor Mike Hicks, Pastor Danny Goins, and Pastor Mitchell Burch officiating. This service will be streamed on the Jones Avenue Church of God's Facebook page at 1:00 pm.
He will be laid to rest at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Oak Hill with military graveside rites.
