Rene' Gene Vorberg , 65, of Scarbro, WV died on Sunday, December 06, 2015 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, WV.
Born August 21, 1950 at Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Willy Karl and Elsie Freida Voitel Vorberg.
Rene' was a registered nurse. When he first came to West Virginia he was a staff nurse at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital and then at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill where he later became Assistant Director of Nursing. He was currently employed as a healthcare insurance auditor.
He was a US Navy veteran, a member of the V.F.W. and a true Harley man,
His brother, Richard Vorberg; stepson, Richard Wayne Craigo; and grandson, Justin Treadway preceded him in death.
Rene' leaves behind a loving family which includes his long-time companion, Rita M. Turner Lee and her children, whom he considered his own, Christina Louisos and husband, Alex of Gillette, Wyoming and Stacy Asbury of Oak Hill; and a sister, Flora Schreiber of Florida.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Michael Craigo, Sarah Keeney, Karli Louisos, Kayla Louisos, Tristan Louisos, Taylor Asbury and Jaxon Parrish; seven great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Bishop Sam R. Calloway officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Following the service and in accordance with his wishes, Rene' will be cremated. His cremains will be interred at a later date at Pax Community Cemetery.
