Ray Rexford Tincher, 84, of Gatewood, WV died on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at his home following a long illness. Born July 30, 1923 at Gatewood, WV he was the son of the late Lee Ballard and Lilly Fridley Tincher. Mr. Tincher was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren at Gatewood. He was a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by brothers, Charles E., Billy W. and Leonard E. Tincher and sisters, Dorothy M. and Edith M. Tincher. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jency Jane Massie Tincher; two sons, Lee Ray Tincher and Gary Wayne Tincher both of Gatewood; three brothers including his twin, Roy Lee Tincher of Gatewood, Robert D. Tincher of Charleston, SC and James H. Tincher of Limestone, TN and a sister: Shirley A. Compton of Fayetteville. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: 1st Sgt. Gary Ray Tincher of Lerona, Roger Daren Tincher of Fayetteville, Jerry Wayne Tincher and Angel Ellen Tincher of both Oak Hill, Mark Allen Tincher of Shady Spring, April Dawn Cook of Cool Ridge, Brian Matthew Tincher and Lia Ashley Tincher both of Fayetteville and eleven great grandchildren, Logan, Lindsay, Alec, Hayden, Taylor, Brandon and Mackenzie Tincher, Britteny and Brianna Baumgartner, Ashton Tyler and his special little girl, Katie Beth Tincher. Services will be on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Jerry Bush officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Grandsons, Gary Ray Tincher, Roger Tincher, Jerry Tincher, Mark Tincher and Brian Tincher and great grandson, Logan Tincher will serve as pallbearers.
