Ramona Gail Payne, 68, recently of Morristown, TN, formerly of Mossy, WV ran to her beloved Jesus on Wednesday, February 1, 2006. A devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and niece she was known to her friends as Gail but to her beloved "children", she will always be our precious Sissie. Dedicating her life to others as an angel, she nurtured and loved 7 nieces and nephews as her own and cared for her mother and father, Thomas and Velva Payne. As each new child, grandchild and great grandchild was born into the family she would be there to hold them, rock them and watch them grow in eagerness. She spent her life worshiping the Lord in prayer and song, sharing that faith with everyone she met. Her faith was simple, pure and innocent, like that described by Jesus in Matthew 18:2-4. He called a little child and had him stand among them. And He said, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." She was a member of the Mossy Living Word Pentacostal Church. Gail was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas and Velva Scarbro Payne, 2 infant sisters, Corena Joyce and Kathrine Ann, and recently, a sister, Adabelle Sue Moore, with whom she now shares a joyful reunion. Survived by a sister Linda (Jack) Dawson, brother-.in-law Raymond Moore, 7 nieces and nephews: Thomas (Pamela) Moore, Stephen (Joy) Moore, Kevin (Sonja) Dawson, Mitzi (Carl) Simpkins, Jeffery (Mary) Moore, Karen. (Brett) Weger and Kathy (Steve) Murray. Grand-nieces and nephews: Jonathan, Tara, Danny, Thomas and Brittani Moore, Amy (Michael) Chambers and Maria Moore, Erica Dawson, Samantha (Rick) Alexander and Christopher Simpkins, Jeffery Moore, Jesse (Vanessa) and Travis (Beckie) Weger, Chad, Nina and Eric Murray.
