Ralph Richard "Pud" Sydnor

Ralph Richard “Pud” Sydnor , 58, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born November 19, 1952 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late William Ralph "Sid" and Maxine E. Thomas Sydnor. He was a truck driver for Eddie Hampton Trucking. Mr. Sydnor was a member of the Fayetteville First Church of God He was a 1973 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill and was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. The family sends a special thank you to the Beckley VA Hospital for the care that was given. Survivors include his wife, Teressa Lynn Shockey Sydnor, three step-daughters, Amanda Ward of Goodlettsville, TN, Nicole Skaggs of Kincaid and Tiffany Beavers of Hampstead, NC and four step grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Delmas Wolfe and Rev. Russell Hays officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post #3110. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
