Phyllis Kay Walker Maxwell

Phyllis Kay Walker Maxwell , 68, of Glen Jean, WV died on Wednesday, April 02, 2014 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born May 31, 1945 at Whitesville, WV she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Molly Williams Walker. Mrs. Maxwell was a member of the Hilltop Family Worship Center. She was a homemaker. A brother, Steve Walker; sister, Dorothy Walker and grandchild, Cheyenne Rae Roles preceded her in death. Phyllis is survived by her loving family which includes her husband, Harold Brenton Maxwell; two daughters, Tammy Weissmann and husband, Jim of San Antonio, TX and Mollie Roles and husband, RJ of Gatewood; five stepsons, Steve Maxwell and wife, Sue of Berryville, AR, Thom Maxwell of Cincinnati, OH, Charles "Chuck" Maxwell and fiancee Cristal of Beckley, Kenny Maxwell and wife, LeeAnn of Atlanta, GA and Jeff Maxwell and wife, Michelle of Beckley; two brothers, William "Bill" Walker and wife, Dot of South Carolina and Richard "Butch" Walker and wife, Judy of Whitesville; one sister, Greta Swain and husband, Arthur of Florida; nineteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Terry Damron officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Fayetteville. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
