Phyllis J. Roop

Phyllis June Lewis Roop, 73, of Dothan, WV died on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born May 31, 1933 at Katherine, WV she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nina Ayers Lewis. She was a homemaker. Phyllis loved butterflies. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray "Bucky" Roop, Sr.; daughter, Donna G. McClung; two brothers, Jack and Alton Lewis and two sisters, Louise Lattie and Drema Dare. Surviving are the family she loved so much -- her sons, James R. Roop, Jr. of Dothan, WV and Jeremy McClung and wife, Shirley of Columbus, OH; four brothers, Willard Lewis and wife, Charlene of Pamama City, FL, Pannell Lewis and wife, Patti of Wyoming, WV, Bill Lewis and wife, Kathy of Adrian, Michigan, Rabon Lewis and wife, Dottie of Somerset, NJ; six sisters, Dora Vest of Midway, WV, Sally Ellis of Fort Pierce, FL, Joan Terry and husband, Charles of Sun, WV, Joy Dobbs and husband, Al of Sun, WV, Judy Sheehan and husband, Vincent of Oak Hill, WV and Diane McKinney and husband, Danny of Oak Hill, WV; sister-in-law, Linda Lewis of Willis, Michigan and one grandson, Linus Roop of Dothan, WV Visitation will be held at Dothan Community Church, Dothan, WV on Saturday, April 14, 2007, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Services will be on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Jessie Parker officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
