Phyllis Jane Grimmett Menei , 72, of Mount Hope, WV died on Thursday, October 09, 2014 at home of her daughter Hattie following a long illness.
Born September 20, 1942 at Greenwood Mountain, WV she was the daughter of the late Hobert Wilson Grimmett and Hattie Lee Burnett Grimmett Painter.
Phyllis was a member of the Wesleyan Church. She was a homemaker.
A sister, Cora Ann Vandall preceded her in death.
Surviving are her loving family which includes husband, Raymond Joe Menei; daughter, Hattie Menei Cottle and husband, Michael Austin Cottle, Sr. of Mount Hope; two sons, Mickey Ray Menei and wife, Melissa Annette of Oak Hill and Thomas Raymond Menei of Mount Hope; three sisters, Esta Hall and husband, Richard of Ohio, Thelma Thomas of Michigan and Alice Anderson and husband, James of West Virginia and three brothers, Charles Grimmett and wife, Kris of California, Carl Grimmett and wife, Shirley of Michigan and Curtis Grimmett and wife, Linda of Virginia.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Britney Maynor, Micheal Cottle, II, Nicolas Menei, Taylor Menei and Alisha Menei; four great grandchildren, Kaylub Menei, Layla Menei, Ethan Cottle and Lydia Menei as well as numerous nieces and nephew.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, in Mount Hope with Rev. Richard Midkiff officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
