Perry Gray Stover , 93, of Mossy, WV died on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born June 26, 1919 at Kingston, WV he was the son of the late Charlie and Ada Thompson Stover. He was a retired coal miner having worked at Riverton Coal Company. Mr. Stover was a member of the Mossy Living Word Church. He served in the US Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Kenneth Stover and James Stover and a sister, Dorothy Blake. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Mae Settle Stover; one son, Roger Gray Stover and wife, Angela of Covington, VA; three grandchildren, Amanda Renee Griffith and husband, Kevin of Covington, VA, Scott Schell of Lynchburg, VA and Barry Schell of Covington, VA; three great grandchildren, Riley Griffith, Natalie Griffith and Wyatt Griffith all of Covington, VA and a special niece, Carol Ford. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Paul Basham officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post #3110. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
