Pearl Mitchell Dodson , 82, of Rt 4 Fayetteville, WV died on Monday, February 07, 2011 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born February 12, 1928 at Bartley, WV she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mattie Vandyke Mitchell. Mrs. Dodson was a homemaker. Her husband, Roy Flemon Dodson and son, Ray Dodson preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Mahone and husband, Frederick of Salem, VA, sister, Becky Wood of Warriormine, grandson, William Mahone of Roanoke, VA and a special nephew, Wayne Dixon of Mossy. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Joe Cuthbertson officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, WV Division, 301 RHL Blvd. Station 6 and 7, Charleston, WV 35311.
