Pauline Pemberton Toney

Pauline Jean Pemberton Toney , 86, of Scarbro, WV died on Thursday, April 08, 2010 at Hilltop Center in Hilltop, WV. Born January 31, 1924 at Portsmouth, OH she was the daughter of the late Floyd "Dude" and Bessie Mae Carmen Pemberton. Mrs. Toney was a member of the Scarbro Baptist Church and a homemaker. Her husband, Leon Franklin Toney on April 25, 1985; son, Leon F. Toney, Jr., an infant son, Dalerio Toney; brothers, John Richard "Pete" Pemberton, Floyd Pemberton, Jr. and Theodore "Buck" Pemberton, daughter, Almeda Dixon, sister, Thelma Robbins and sister-in-law, June Pemberton preceded her in death. Survivors include four sons, Billy C. Toney and wife, Lucille of Charlottesville, VA, Clyde R. Toney and wife, Anna Mae of Lochgelly, Larry A. Toney and wife, Michele of Marysville, TN and Cooper A. Toney and wife, Caryn of Knoxville, TN; one daughter, Vermeda Snuffer and husband, Larry of Scarbro, WV; daughter-in-law, Patsy Ann Toney of Selma, NC; former daughter-in-law, Drema Toney of Oak Hill, WV; brother, Jerry Pemberton of Lochgelly, WV; sister-in-law, Betty Pemberton of Lochgelly; 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Services will be on April 10, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill in Oak Hill. with Rev. Kenny Smith Bob Creed officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens., Oak Hill, WV Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
