Mr. Paul Lee Logan Sr. 71, of Lake City, FL died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at The Lake City Medical Center after a brief illness. He was a native of Tamroy, West Virginia and had made his home in Lake City for the past 6 years, moving here from Murphy. NC. He was a member of the Lake City Christian Church, enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren. Paul was the son of the late Andrew Jackson Logan, Sr. and Maude Hill Logan. Five sisters, Ruth Painter, Juanita Meadows, Belva Daniels, Gloria Long and Dorothy Jewell and two brothers, Rockford Logan and Andrew J. Logan, Jr preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years, Naomi Betty Logan of Lake City; one son, Paul Logan, Jr. and wife, Joanne of Lake Mary, Fl.; five daughters, Teresa Durden , Orlando, Fl., Linda O’Connor and husband, Tim, Orlando, Fl., Cheryl Davis and husband, Jeff of Stuart, Fl., Nancy Masten and husband, Keith of Jacksonville, Fl. and Gail Chambers and husband, Glen of Birmingham, Alabama; two sisters, Phyllis Alexander, Orlando, Fl and Melisa Fain and husband, Cecil of Cincinnati, Ohio and one brother, Berl Logan and wife, Barbara of Phoenix, Arizona. Twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with Minister Jake Richardson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 A.M. Tuesday until noon for family and from noon until 1 P.M. for friends. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 South U.S. Highway 441, Lake City, Florida in charge of arrangements.
