Paul D. Jones

Paul Douglas Jones, age 64, of Kincaid, W.Va., died on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at VAMC, Beckley, after a long illness. Born Nov. 1, 1943, at Ethel, Logan County, W.Va. he was the son of the late Hillery Jones and Cynthia Matheny Jones Bailey. Mr. Jones was a retired salesman and manager for Heilig-Meyers Co., Rainelle, W.Va. He was a member of the Page Baptist Church at Page and was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam Conflict. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Vernon Bailey; and a brother, Tom Jones. Survivors include his wife, Jane Perkins Jones of Kincaid, W.Va.; a son, Eric D. Jones of Princeton, W.Va.; a daughter, Alison Burke and her husband Seth of Leslie, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Austin Jones, Ethan Jones, Zoey Jones, Madison Burke, and Lauren Burke; four brothers, Ray Jones of Fayetteville, W.Va., James Jones of Hayes, Va., Vernon Bailey of Robson, W.Va., and Hollie Bailey of Kincaid, W.Va.; and four sisters, Jeanetta Wolfe of Page, Rosetta Billings of Custer Park, Ill., Loretta Hambrick of Cross Lanes, W.Va., and Kathy Clay of Kincaid, W.Va. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with Rev. Delmas Wolfe and Rev. Bill Deskins officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Settle Cemetery at Robson, with military rites conducted by Oak Hill VFW Post 3110.
