Patrick A. Osborn

Surrounded by his family, Patrick Atlee Osborn , 69, of Carlisle, WV died on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at his home. Born April 01, 1938 at Tulsa, OK he was the son of the late Bert and Mildred Johnson Osborn. Mr. Osborn was of the Baptist faith. He was very proud of serve his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany, Korea, Panama and VietNam as well as several locations in the United States. While at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma he met and married Joan, his wife of 46 years. After discharge from the Army he moved to West Virginia and became employed in the coal mines. He was a member of the U.M.W.A. Pat was an avid bowler and was employed at the White Oak Lanes in Oak Hill for many years. His time at White Oak was very important to him as he considered everyone who worked and bowled there his second family. He missed everyone when he retired from White Oak. The Osborn family wishes to thank the Director of Hospice of Southern West Virginia and all the staff for their concern for the entire family and the expert care of our father and husband. The word Thanks is nothing compared to the care we all received from Hospice, friends, neighbors and everyone that has touched our lives. He was preceded in death by his a brother, Leslie Osborn. Survivors include wife, Joan Robinson Osborn; their three children, Jeffrey Osborn, Brian Osborn who is currently serving in Iraq, and wife, Brenda and Annette Brellahan and husband, Joe of Oak Hill; eight grandchildren, Ericka Osborn, Atlee Osborn Funk, Ryan Funk, Morgan Funk, Levi, Colten, Tiffany and Wyatt. He is also surived by one brother, John Osborn of Cottwood, AZ and sisters, Margaret Walker of Colorado Springs, CO, Charlene Brown of Aurora, CO, Inez Aicher of Wasilla, Alaska Pam King of Deland, FL and many treasured nieces and nephews. Services will be on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Bob Creed officiating. Burial will be at Thomas Addition of the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM Dale Watkins, Sr., Henry Watkins, Dale Watkins, Jr., Mike Aicher, Henry Robinson, Floyd Robinson, Jr., Paul Blankenship and Ron Coleman will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, WV Division, 301 RHL Blvd., Station 6 & 7, Charleston WV 25311
