Patricia Ann Washburn

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Patricia Ann Perkins Washburn , 73, of Oak Hill, WV went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 05, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born May 31, 1935 in Missouri she was the daughter of the late Waldo and Bertha Manning Perkins. Mrs. Washburn grew up in Saint Albans. She was a long-time member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill where she held numerous positions. Her beloved husband of 50 years, Gerald K. Washburn preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Chuck Washburn and wife, Yvonne of Hilltop; two daughters, Tina Motley and Dale Smith of Oak Hill and Sue Cales and husband, Matt of Oak Hill; eight grandchildren, Aaron Motley of Dallas, NC, Zach Washburn of Hilltop, Lindsay Motley of Hilltop, Lisa Hess and husband, Tommy of Oak Hill, Michael Underwood of Oak Hill, Priscilla Griffith and husband, Matt of Hilltop and Matthew and Haley Cales of Oak Hill and three great grandchildren, Emily Motley, Bentley Vance and Sophia Griffith. Also surviving are one brother, Bill Perkins and wife, Betty; two sisters, Peggy Young and husband, Shelton and Nancy Dunn and husband, Bob as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Services will be on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Delbert Walker officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children - KY, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington KY 40502 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
