Patricia Ann "Nanny Pat" Williams

Patricia Ann "Nanny Pat" Ferris Williams , 77, of Weirwood Hill, Pax, WV died on Tuesday, December 07, 2010 at her home. Born February 22, 1933 at Osyter Run, WV she was the daughter of the late Madison Van and Barbara Daisy Smith Ferris. Mrs. Williams had been employed as a cook in several area restaurants and as a certified nursing assistant in nursing homes. She enjoyed her soaps, All My Children and One Life to Live. She also enjoyed using her homemaking skills of sewing, gardening and canning. The family wishes to express their thanks to Nanny Pat's doctors and the staff in their offices, Dr. Jafary, Dr. Porterfield, Dr. Nazar, Dr. Manuel Villanueva and Dr. Kabbara as well as the staff at Raleigh General Hospital and Appalachian Regional Home Health. Thank you to Judy and Pam for all the prayers, to Rev. Dwayne Williams and his wife, Judy, to a special friend Melanie Payne whom she loved. We also extend a special thank you to Johnny Mowell and Christopher Johnson for their visits to our mom. All of these folks were so special to her. Nanny Pat was preceded in death by the two men whom she loved with all her heart, Dallas A. Williams, the father of her five children and James H. "Jimmy" Shea who was there for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded by her youngest son, Dallas Cecil Williams, grandson, George Earl Ruff, Jr., son-in-law, George Ear Ruff, Sr. and two half sisters, Vivian Shrewsbury and May Shrewsbury. Left to cherish her precious memories are her son, Billy Williams and wife, Anita of Pea Ridge, three daughters, Lena Ruff and companion, Eric Ruff of Oak Hill, Christina Garrison and husband, George of Pax and Crystal Allen and husband, Robert of Weirwood Hill, special daughter-in-law, Sandy Williams of Weirwood Hill, one sister, Elizabeth Stove and companion, Rob Hilton of Bradley and three brothers, Bub Ferris and wife, Maryland of North Carolina, Charlie Ferris and wife, Totsy of Maple Fork and Jake Ferris and wife, Lou of Pettrey Bottom. Also surviving are grandchildren, Preston Ruff, Billie Jean McLain, Percilla Pennington, Nathan Pennington, Landon Williams, Steven Dinkler, Jason Dinkler, Aaron Williams, Jay Williams, Christopher Williams and Tyler Williams, thirteen precious great grandchildren, Jewillian, Kolton, Robert, Cody, brianna, C.J., Robert Lee, Taya, Gaige, Alissa, Hunter, Kalynn and Samantha as we as several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Pax Worship Center in Pax with Rev. Dwayne Williams officiating. Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery, Pax. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
