Patricia Jean "Patsy" Jennings
November 12, 1935 — July 11, 2015
Heaven had a big celebration on July 11, 2015. Patricia "Patsy" Jean Humphrey Jennings went home to be with the Lord.
Patricia was the daughter of the late Walter and Bessie Henderson Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jennings.
Mrs. Jennings is survived by her brothers, James Humphrey and wife Alice of Myrtle Beach, SC, Glen Humphrey and wife Joanie of Conway, SC. ; and her sister June McClung and husband Delmas of McLeansville, NC; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Patsy loved and had much devotion for Kelly, Lindsey, and Leah. She was their babysitter from birth and was very proud of the young ladies that they have become.
A member of the Brethern Church in Oak Hill, Patsy served as Sunday School Treasurer and helped wherever she was needed.
Patsy retired from the Federal Selective Service System. She was also volunteer at Plateau Medical Center where she served for many years.
Patsy lived at The Summit in Oak Hill and enjoyed their church services and bingo. She was an avid reader and shared her many books with others.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM. At Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. A Celebration of her Life will follow at 1:30 PM. She will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Prosperity.
Serving as pallbearers: James F. Humphrey, Jr., Stephen V. Humphrey, Chris McClung, Stephen V. Humphrey, Jr., Andrew J. Humphrey, Ron Young.
