Pat Junior Murphy

Pat Junior Murphy , 62, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his home. Born June 19, 1951 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late John Alexander and Sally Hall Murphy. Pat was a 1970 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. He was a Hydraulic Repairman for W. R. Murdock and Sons and an employee of Kroger. He was a member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene. For 46 years Pat's most cherished memories were during the Christmas season. He loved playing Santa and sharing his love toward children and their families. A brother, James Ray Davis and a sister, Gracie McGuffin preceded him in death. Survivors include wife, Virginia Frances Bowling Murphy; daughter, Stephanie Shrewsberry and husband, Moses of Fayetteville and two grandchildren, Levi Shrewsberry and Alexis Shrewsberry both of Fayetteville. Also surviving is a brother, Mike Murphy and his wife, Susie of Beckwith. Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Mike Legg and Rev. Benny Bleigh officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
