Gene P. "Perk" Taylor

Gene "Perk" Pearlie Taylor , 65, of Beckley, WV formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, March 07, 2011 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born May 23, 1945 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Alfred and Anna Margaret Smith Taylor. Perk was a former farmer on the family farm and gas station attendant. He attended church at Pinecrest. Two sisters, Shirley Milam and Joann Scarbrough preceded him in death. Survivors include one sister, Frances Rose of Hilltop, brother, Dennis Taylor of Oak Hill, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Melvin Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
