Ossie Smith

Ossie Mae Keith Smith, 92, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, March 09, 2004 at Tincher Personal Care Home in Fayetteville, WV following a long illness. Born April 28, 1911 at Dante, VA she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Julia Johnson Keith. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Jones Avenue First Church of God, Oak Hill, WV and the Women of the Church of God. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Henry Smith on Aug 9, 1989 and by seven brothers. Survivors include Sons: Edward Vicars of Oak Hill Bobby Lee Vicars of Lillian, AL Daughter: Edwinna Smith of South Carolina Sister: Ina Hurd of Bradford, VA Half Sisters: Sue Mann of Candler, NC Lou Burgess of Inkster, NC 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday, March 11, 2004 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Services will be on March 11, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
