Oscar Curtiss Smith, 69, of Oak Hill passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born September 24, 1953 in Oak Hill he was the son of the late Harmon Smith and Rosie Elizabeth Evans Smith Williams and step father David Williams.
Oscar was a proud United States Army Veteran, a retired Coal Miner, and loved his family very much.
He is preceded in death by his son, Erik Smith; daughter, Cheryl Smith; grandson, Joshua Howington; and siblings Herman Smith, Linda Smith, and Silas Evans
Those left to cherish his memory include daughter, Karen Bohn; grandchildren, Whitney Farley, Brandon Howington, Bradley Howington, Aiden Shifflett, Kaleb Shifflett, Kandace Shifflett, Katie Smith, and Joshua Smith; great grandchildren, Braeley Flint and Bentley Howington; sisters,, Tena Tincher, Bonnie Smith, Ruby Elkins, Jane Allen; and brother, Harmon Ray Smith.
Graveside service with burial to follow will be 2:15 PM on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill.
