Orval Stephen Grose

Orval Stephen Grose, 72, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, August 17, 2007 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. He was born April 5, 1935 at Ramsey, WV, a son of the late Nora Grose and Orval Cogar. He was a retired US Air Force Tech Sgt. with 20 years of service in communications then worked National Mine Service for 20 years as a service manager followed by 2 1/2 years as a service manager for Hughes Supply. He was a member of the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill, A.A.R.P., and Noncommissioned Officers Association and the American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Voneda June Grose and an infant brother. Survivors include his wife, Sandra S. Ennis Grose of Oak Hill, two daughters, Carol Sue Davis and husband, Michael of Fayetteville, WV and Brenda Kay O'Brien and husband, Jim of Corning, NY; grandchildren, Belinda Nichols, Steven Davis and Dennis Davis of all Fayetteville,WV, Jeremy Harmon of Glenwood, WV, Jill Harmon, who made her home with her Grandma and Grandpa in Oak Hill, and Jonathan Dent of Oak Hill; 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Leona Grose of Wooster, OH. Service will be Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill with Rev. Daniel Rice, Rev. Robert Pauley and Rev. Randy Sunderland officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity, WV. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3110 of Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday , August 20, 2007 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Steven and Dennis Davis, Jeremy Harmon, Jonathan Dent and nephews, Brian and Justin Ennis.
