Ora Edith Garten Ward, 99, of Kilsyth, WV died on Wednesday, March 02, 2005 at Hilltop Healthcare Center in Hilltop, WV following a long illness. Born March 30, 1905 at Talcott, WV she was the daughter of the late Henry Hutchinson and Willie Pauley Garten. Mrs. Ward was a member of the Laurel Creek Freewill Baptist Church and attended the Price Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Samuel Ward; three daughters, Audra Call and her husband Harold Call, Joy Pennington and Arlena Ward; two sons, William Ward and Franklin Ward; one grandson, Charles "Chuckie" Layton Ward; three borthers, John Garten, Ervin Garten and Robert Garten; two sisters, Fannie Shrout and Myrtle Farmer. Survivors include three sons, Charles Ward and wife, Beulah, of Price Hill, Gilbert Ward of Huron, OH and Willard Ward of Marblehead, OH; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Saturday, March 5, 2005, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Services will be on Saturday, March 5, 2005, at 10:00 am at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Robert Barley officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV.
