Opal M. Williams

Opal May Skaggs Williams, 90, of Rt 1 Scarbro, WV formerly of Maple Fork, WV died on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born December 26, 1917 at Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Emory and Hester Smith Skaggs. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Maple Fork Community Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Williams, three brothers, Pete Skaggs, Buddy Skaggs and Bob Skaggs and one sister, Vivian Grant Williams Survivors include two daughters, Judith "Judy" Cutright of Rt 1 Scarbro and Nancy Garrett of Hilltop; three sons, Jack Williams of Prosperity, James Williams of Prosperity and Earl Welch of New Jersey; one stepson, Carl Lee Williams of Shady Spring; one sister, Joyce Skaggs of Ohio; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Services will be on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Diana Pittman officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Jason Lilly, Jackie Williams, Alex Williams, Michael Williams, Randy Reed and James Williams will serve as pallbearers.
