Novella Shaw Keel

Novella Shaw Keel , 87, of Paint Creek, WV died on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born February 24, 1927 at Rockport, KY she was the daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth Hulse Shaw.
A longtime member of the Long Branch Methodist Church, Mrs. Keel taught the children's class and the adult women's class. She was a homemaker.
The family extends their thanks to her many health care workers and Bowers Hospice House.
Her husband, Carson Keel; granddaughter, Leigh Culmer; one sister, Wanda Shaw and two brothers, Charles Shaw and Bill Shaw all preceded her in death.
Novella is survived by her loving and devoted family which includes two daughters, Debbie Wriston and husband, Randy of Oak Hill and Linda Casteel of Paint Creek; one son, William Keel and wife, Frances of Paint Creek; sister-in-law, Freda Shaw of Dearborn, MI and a special friend, Billie Ann Crouse of Beckley.
She is also survived by granddaughters, Carla Farr and husband, Mark of Orlando, FL, Jeri Casteel and husband, Paul of Winter Park, FL, Debra Ellison and husband, Shaun of Paint Creek, April Poff and husband, Kevin of Paint Creek, Crystal Sharpe and husband, Duane of Beckley and Brandi Wriston and husband, Brian of Hico; grandson, Shannon Keel and wife, Amy of Paint Creek; thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Long Branch United Methodist Church with Rev. Mervin Sizemore officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
