Norma E. Smith

Norma Elizabeth Hatfield Smith, 68, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV following a long illness. Born March 03, 1938 at Sun, WV she was the daughter of the late Luther and Bertha May Holstine Hatfield. Norma was a member of the Red Star Baptist Church and Winolia Chapter #59 O.E.S. formerly of the Oak Hill Chapter #107. Her husband, Ronald Samuel Smith, Sr., a daughter, Gequetta Duncan and four sisters, Sarah Hatfield, Kitty Woodson, Jean Skaggs and Lora Sizemore preceded her in death. Survivors include five daughters, Darlene Pruden of Norfolk, VA, Betty Smith of Oak Hill, Kathy Mason of Oak Hill, Ronetta Davis of South Carolina and Libby Aaron of Oak Hill; four sons, Ronald Smith Jr. of Columbus, OH, Darrell Smith of Columbus, OH, Gene Smith of Oak Hill and Bill Smith of Oak Hill; twenty two grandchildren and thirty two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, July 14, 2006, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with O.E.S. service at 7:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Randy Sunderland and Rev. Ronnie Persinger officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV.
