Norma Hope Ratliff

Naomi Hope Rood Ratliff, 78, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, April 08, 2008 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born March 20, 1930 at Middleport, OH she was the daughter of the late Rev. Perry Uriah Rood and Lillian Shaver Rood. She was a seamstress and an artist. Mrs. Ratliff was of the Protestant faith. Her husband, James W. Ratliff preceded her in death on December 14, 1994. Survivors include sons, Eugene W. Ratliff and wife, Mary, Oak Hill and James E. Ratliff of Oak Hill; two daughters, Rebecca A. Yellets and husband, Gary of Charlottesville, VA and Alicia M. Fox of Bluefield, WV; two brothers, Ferrell Rood of Zaleski, OH and Jonathan Rood of Hendersonville, TN and two sisters, Dorothy Rood of Wellston, OH and Helen Wetherholt of Florida. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Ferrell Rood officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, 2008 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Grandsons Jonathan Ratliff, James V. Yellets, Jared M. Yellets, Nick Yellets, Earl Lilly, Zachary R. Lilly and John W. Lilly will serve as pallbearers.
