Norma Jean Smith Gentry , 79, of Scarbro, WV died on Monday, January 05, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born September 28, 1935 at Scarbro, WV she was the daughter of the late Leonard Joseph and Goldie Mae Britt Smith.
She was a retired Executive Secretary for Long Airdox in Oak Hill.
Norma loved her cat. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Williamsburg, working on furniture and remodeling and making additions to her home.
Her husband, James Robert "Bob" Gentry; brother, Carl Thomas Smith; and sisters, Margaret Davis and Hilda Smith preceded her in death.
Survivors include niece, Cheri Hartless and husband, Trey of Virginia; great nephews, Christopher Hartless and Shane Hartless of Virginia; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Harrah and husband, Gerald of Georgia.
Graveside rites and committal service will be on Saturday January 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, January 9, 2015, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
