Nora E. Williams Covey

Nora Evelyn Williams Covey , 100, of Rock, WV died on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Born October 10, 1911 at Willis Branch, WV she was the daughter of the late Willie and Elsie Phillips Williams. Nora was a member of the Weirwood Community Church and faithfully attended the Rich Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Clarence Covey, sisters, Dorcas Kuhn and Hattie Bennett and brothers, Harmon Williams, Cecil Williams, Russell Williams and Wilburn Williams preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Shirley Humphrey and wife, Garnet of Rock,and three sisters, Barbara Hartzell of Baltimore, MD, Stella Britt of New London, OH and Mabel Mitchem of Beckley. She was also survived by two grandchildren, Shirlene "Jane" Westrope and husband, Walt of Lexington, TN and Patricia Davis and husband, Ike of Rock and a great grandson, Andre Buck and wife, Becky of Rock. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, in Mount Hope. with Pastor Tom Lilly and Pastor Ralph Calfee officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
