Nira Gallia (Tyree) Kania

Nira Gillia Tyree Kania, 91, of Oak Hill, passed away Friday December 27,

2024 at Fayetteville HealthCare Center. Born September 14, 1933 to Trenton and Violet Tyree and mother Margaret Wimmer. Raised by her grandparents Clyde and Nettie Harler of Kincaid.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Theodore Kania Sr and son John Kania.

She is survived by her children Teresa Bays (John) of Vinore,Tenn, Ted Kania Jr (Claudia) of Oak Hill WV, Anthony Kania Sr (Deana) of Scarbro WV,

Mike Kania (Misty) of Scarbro WV, Valerie Holt (Jack) of Oak Hill, WV, Kim Jarman (Chris) of Felicity OH, Debra Kania (daughter in law) of Lynchburg Va. 18 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren.

Nira was of the Catholic faith, and with that, services will be at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Thursday January 2, 2025. Visitation will be at 11:00 am and mass will follow at 12:00 pm. Then proceed to Highlawn Cemetery for burial.

If you would like, we ask that you wear some type of blue, as many of you know, that was moms favorite color.

In lieu of flowers we suggest donations to SS Peter & Paul Catholic School or a charity of choice.
