Nellie Garnet Toombs Ford , 90, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born October 21, 1921 at Minden, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Emma Frances Harless Toombs. Mrs. Ford was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church and the Shirley Donnelly Bible Class. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Alfred D. "John" Ford, eight brothers, Glucia "Ray" Toombs, Kent Joseph Toombs, Charles Toombs, Scott Toombs, Cecil Toombs, George Toombs, Robert Toombs and Rupert B. Toombs, three sisters, Gertrude Toombs, Ella Harley and Trilby Trigg and a granddaughter, Amy Sue Ford preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Alfred D. Ford, Jr. and wife, Melanie "Susie" of Shady Spring, daughter, Linda Rosemary Wheeler and husband, Steve of Fayetteville, four grandchildren, Christopher Ford, Nota Elizabeth Heath, Laura Ferrell and Brent Wheeler and seven great grandchildren along with a special niece, Betty Tupper and special friend, Adele "Peggy" Terry. Funeral services will be on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. David White and Rev. Robert "Bobby" Pauley officiating. Entombment will be at Wallace & Wallace Memorial Park, Clintonville. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
