Nellie Ewing

Nellie Irene Toney Ewing, 91, of Beckley, WV died on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at SunBridge Pine Lodge Care & Rehab in Beckley, WV following a long illness. Born February 22, 1912 at Toney's Fork (Clear Creek), WV she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Nora Stover Toney. Mrs. Ewing was a member of the Workman's Creek Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dessie Ewing on May 9, 2002; a son, Roy Lee Ewing; brothers, Willard, John Earl and Glen "Duck" Toney; a sisters, Icie Williams. Survivors include Daughters: Betty Williams and husband, Forrest of Beckley Alice Lawlor of Beckley Granddaughter: Teresa Lawlor of Charleston Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, on Thursday, January 1, 2004 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Services will be on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev Jerry Lawrence, Rev Randy Smithson and Rev. David Motor officiating. Burial will be at Ewing Creek Cemetery, Clear Creek WV. Family will serve as pallbearers.
