Nancy Jo Thornburg-Scott Thorn , 79, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, October 03, 2012 at the home of her daughter Linda Williams in Oak Hill, WV. Born November 18, 1932 at Greensboro, NC she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pansy Tutterow Thornburg. Nancy was of the Protestant faith. She was a homemaker, a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and a member of the Hampshire County Homemaker's Club. She loved gardening and nature. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis M. Scott, second husband, Troy Thorn and two sisters, Margie Allen and Mabel Cranford. Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Scott Painter and husband, Chuck of Huntington, Linda Scott Williams and husband, Ben of Oak Hill and Kathy Scott Boyer of Oak Hill, four sisters, Joyce Bellew of Barberton, OH, Ola Mae Hall of Thomasville, NC, Remona Baxley of Flagler Beach, FL, and Betty Treadway of Akron, OH and two brothers, Bill Thornburg of Beaver Dam, VA and Wallace Thornburg of Fayetteville. She is also survived by a grandson, Scott Painter of Huntington, two granddaughters, Courtney Urbach of Littleton, CO, and Lindsay Williams of Daytona Beach, FL, two great grandchildren, Preston Williams of Oak Hill and Cassidy Urbach of Littleton, CO and her precious dog, Chloe. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Dr. Charles D. Miller officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Chuck Painter, Wallace Thornburg, Ben F. Williams, Jr., Scott Painter, Bill Thornburg and Fred Williams will serve as pallbearers.
