Nancy Preston

Nancy Jane Richmond Griffith Preston, 59, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born April 13, 1949 at Kingston, WV she was the daughter of the late Russell Woodrow and Violet Virginia Dove Richmond. She was a member of the Rock Lick Freewill Baptist Church and attended the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker. Nancy's family wishes to express their special thanks to everyone who assisted with her care including her physicians, Fayetteville Dialysis Center and Raleigh General Hospital and to Pastors Jerry Bush and Jerry Sears. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Griffith; sister, Della Treadway and brothers, Donnie Richmond, Billy Ray Richmond and George Elmer Richmond. Survivors include one son, Daniel Griffith of Princeton; one daughter, Terri Jane Settle of Oak Hill; brothers, Darrell Richmond of Minden, Joseph Richmond of Summerlee and Roger Richmond, Elkton, MD and sisters, Rose Treadway of Minden, Mary Evelyn Faraker of Cecilton, MD and Helen Richmond of Parma, OH. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Wesley Oliver Settle and Krista Lynn Settle. Services will be on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
