Nancy Louise Logan Lucas, 84, of Oak Hill passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Born May 21, 1940, in Powellton, WV she was the daughter of the late Troy and Ruby Keatron Logan.
Nancy was a proud graduate from Montgomery High School, she retired from the Fayette County school board working as a aide and driving a school bus for over 20 years. She was a member of Montgomery Baptist Church where she loved to sing and worship and was a member of the Eastern Star in Montgomery. In her leisure time she enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the birds and squirrels while feeding them, she enjoyed canning, gardening, and cooking as she loved feeding others. Her greatest joy in life was children and in the 1970's she and her first husband William Kincaid took in foster children to raise as their own as she was a mother to many, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her first husband, William Harvey Kincaid; 3 brothers, Troy Logan, Richard Logan, and Donald Logan.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving husband, Kenneth Lucas; children, William Kincaid, Jr. and companion of 20 years Shay, Diana Kincaid, Kenneth T. Lucas (Heather), Raymond Cook, Robert Dickinson, Carol Settle, and Barbara Kincaid (Robert); 8 grandchildren, William Kincaid III, Bethany Buskus, Austin Buskus (Brooklyn), Tyler Lucas, Hannah Hunter, Claira Lucas, Megan Myers (Tony), and Travis Cormack; 5 great grandchildren, Aryana Kincaid, William Kincaid IV, Ava Kincaid, Abby Hicks, and Dalylia Myers; 3 sisters, Sarah Kincaid (Jerry), Ann Farrell (Frank), and Debra Guy (Jim); brother, Michael Logan; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor CJ Rider officiating. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
Visitation for friends will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
