Nadine Johnson Brackman

Nadine H. Johnson Brackman , 84, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born October 13, 1924 at Danville, WV she was the daughter of the late John and Lydia Kinder Johnson. She was the former owner of Brackman Grocery Store in Peytona, WV. Mrs. Brackman was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church, the Women's Circle at the church. She was a Zeta Master of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority of Oak Hill having been a member for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Arthur Brackman; granddaughter, Rebecca Brackman; sister, Louise Johnson and four brothers, William, Forrest, Malcolm and Frank Johnson. Survivors include two sons, David A. Brackman and wife, Roberta of Houston, TX and Donald J. Brackman and wife, Jamie of Nineveh, IN; one daughter, Linda DeBord and husband, Bonner of Oak Hill; two brothers, Charles S. Johnson of Hendersonville, NC and Ralph Johnson of Pineville and a sister, Marguerite Salerno of Hendersonville, NC. n She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Donna Brackman, Melissa Duke, Jeanette Biddle, David DeBord, Michelle Montgomery, Dana Martin and Michael Brackman; nine great grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Chase, Drew, Alexa, Karlie, Donald, Madison and Nathan and one great-great grandson, Braylon. Services will be on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Dr. Charles D. Miller officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Andrew Biddle, Rob Williams., Lance Duke, Michael Montgomery, David DeBord and Justin Martin will serve as pallbearers.
