Nada Belle Rudd

January 3, 1930 — December 4, 2021

Our loving mother and grandmother, Nada Belle Jeffers Rudd, age 91, of Beckley, WV, passed away peacefully at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley on December 4, 2021.

Born January 3, 1930, in Ameagle, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Lawrence and Lola Workman Jeffers.

Nada was a 1948 graduate of Oak Hill High School. She was a US Air Force veteran, being apart of the first Women's Air Corp, Captain of the Civil Air Patrol Unit in Missouri, and being apart of the USO Jazz Band. Nada was an Assembly of God minister for many years along with her late husband Glenn. She had a strong faith and was a wonderful mentor.

An extraordinary pianist, Nada has used her God-given talent to bless and entertain for years. Church music was her musical base - playing for the Jeffers Family, Singtime Quartet, church services as well as many groups and soloists. Her amazing talent to play any song in any key made everyone she accompanied feel confident in their singing. She always said "a C is a C no matter what key you play it in." For several years her beautiful renditions of the old gospel hymns could be heard in the background of funerals at Tyree Funeral Home. What a blessing she has been to so many. Nada's signature song was "When They Ring Those Golden Bells." She's heard those bells...

She is preceded by her husband, Perry Glenn Rudd (4/13/2002); and siblings - Eldridge Lee Jeffers, Juanita Jeffers Davis, Ann Jeffers Blue, and William Ansel Jeffers.

Nada's memory will forever be cherished by her loving daughter, Lola Hight (Richard) of Beckley, WV; grandchildren Samantha Jenkins (Stevie), Max Hight, Chance Hight, and Belle Hight; sisters, June Alexander (Don), Karen Jeffers and Violet Treadway; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial to follow at High Lawn Memorial Park with military honors.

Nada's family extends a heart-felt thank you to the staff of Bowers Hospice House for their amazing care. To that end we say, memorial donations to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801 would be sincerely appreciated.

While masks are not required, those planning to attend might consider wearing masks and observing social distancing of 6 feet as we attempt to do away with Covid 19.
