Myra Faye Ford

Myra Faye Fernandez Ford, 76, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, September 07, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born November 28, 1931 at Ramsey, WV she was the daughter of the late Joe Fernandez, Jr. and Carrie Meleese Terry Fernandez. Faye was the retired Comptroller for WOAY in Oak Hill with 42 years service. She attended Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill. She was preceded in death by a son Geoffrey Todd Ford who died at age three in 1965 and her cousin and best friend, Maxine Hamilton. Survivors include two sons, Mark Ford and wife, Stephanie of Fayetteville and Cam Ford and wife, Pam of Hico; two grandchildren whom she loved and adored, Matt and Katy Ford of Hico and honorary grandchildren, Allison and Emily Lewis of Fayetteville. Services will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Warren Gilpin officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Cam Ford, Mark Ford, Matt Ford, Katy Ford, Arthur Hamilton, Bill Hauer, Kenny Callison, Dennie Large and Rick Lewis will serve as pallbearers.
