Monica Christine Withrow Miller , 25, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, January 19, 2015 at a Charleston Hospital following a short illness.
Born January 30, 1989 at Beckley, WV she was the daughter of Terry Withrow of Harrisonburg, VA and Francie Crist of Oak Hill, WV.
She was a Reservation Clerk at Winter Place.
Monica was a member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene and a former member of the WV Army National Guard. She was a 2007 graduate of Oak Hill High School. After being awarded the Promise Scholarship she attended WVU and was currently enrolled at Concord University pursuing a career in elementary education and special ed.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Herbert Withrow.
In addition to her parents, Monica is survived by her husband, Brandon Miller; maternal grandparents, Raynell and Rita Toler, who helped raise her, of Oak Hill and Roy Ivan McClelland of Oak Hill; paternal grandmother, Diane Withrow of Ansted; brother, Tyler Withrow of North Carolina; and three sisters, Megan Lawrentz of Oak Hill, Kaelie Withrow of North Carolina and Bethany Withrow of North Carolina.
Monica had a love for animals -- she leaves behind her beloved pets, Mac and Macie her Scottish Fold cats, Mittens a kitty she rescued and her dog Zeus, a Lab mix who was adopted from the animal shelter.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Dr. Randy James officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
