Minnie Huddleston Mcneeley

Minnie Bertha Huddleston McNeeley, 96, of Oak Hill, WV went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born March 29, 1908 at Newcomb, TN she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Nancy Ellen Douglas Huddleston. Mrs. McNeeley was a member of the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill, WV and the AARP. She was retired from Oak Hill Elementary School. Minnie married Virtie McNeeley on April 5, 1926. Virtie preceded her to the Lord on April 23, 1987 after 63 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Survivors include her children, Violet Wolfe and husband, Bob, of Oak Hill, Mossie Gilbert and husband, Bill of Louisville, KY, Rev. Bill McNeeley, Jr. and wife, Pat, of Crossville, TN, Nancy Evans and husband, Gene, of Hilltop, Patsy Burgess and husband, Dale of Buchannon, Donald McNeeley and wife, Bettie, of North Olmstead, OH, Benny McNeeley and wife, Mary, of Fredericksburg, VA, Betty Sue Joslin and husband, Rod, of Conneautville, PA, Jerri Smith and husband, Smitty, of Louisville, KY, Robert "Butch" E. McNeeley and wife, Darlene, of Avon Lake, OH, David McNeeley of Oak Hill and Danny McNeeley and wife, Bonnie, of Chesterfield, VA, 32 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren and her friend and caregiver, Linda Long. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, December 31, 2004, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Services will be on Saturday, January 1, 2005, at 11:00 am at Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church in Oak Hill. with Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be given to Gideon International, PO Box 612, Ansted WV 25812 for the purchase of Bibles.
