Mildred Wolfe

Mildred Lorraine Hale Wolfe, 65, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, WV following a long illness. Born April 22, 1940 at Berea, KY she was the daughter of the late Jesse Forest and Yetta Gadd Hale. Mrs. Wolfe attended the Gospel Tabernacle, Oak Hill, WV. A long-time employee of Store 99, Oak Hill, WV, Mildred was a retired department manager for K-Mart in Richmond, KY and Oak Hill. Her husband, James T. Wolfe; two brothers, Bill and David Hale; one half-brother, Burgess Hale and three half-sisters, Edna Alcorn, Ruby Cole and Gladys Coy all preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Gail Scarbro and husband, Charles Daniel of St. Albans, WV and grandson, Derek Scarbro and wife, Sarah of Huntington, WV; one son, James Wolfe and wife, Michelle, and grandchildren, Maddie, Kaddie and Zane Wolfe all of Oak Hill, WV and two sisters, Ruth Phillips of Berea, KY and Lucille Wallace and husband, Allen Wayne, of Berea, KY. The family will receive friends at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV on Saturday, January 21, 2006, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Services will be on Monday, January 23, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at the Dixie Park Cornerstone Baptist Church in Berea, KY with Rev. Earl VanWinkle and Rev. Doug Collins officiating. Burial will follow at the Berea Cemetery, Berea KY. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, WV Division, 301 RHL Blvd., Station 6 & 7, Charleston WV 25311. Tyree Funeral Home, 999 Jones Avenue, Oak Hill, WV and Lakes Funeral Home, 203 N. Dogwood Drive, Berea, KY are in charge of arrangements.
