Mildred Farley Plymale, 83, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born October 29, 1923 at Coxton, KY she was the daughter of the late Elmer Mitchell and Virginia Snavely Farley. Mrs. Plymale was a member of the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, Oak Hill, WV and the Saint Andrew's Church Women. She attended Randolph Macon Women's College and received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Marshall University, Huntington and did post graduate studies at the WV College of Graduate Studies. She was a retired school teacher having taught for 20 years at Oak Hill Elementary School. Mrs. Plymale was a member of National Federation of Republican Women Fayette County Unit, Association of Retired Teachers of Fayette County and WV, the Genealogical Society of Fayette And Raleigh Counties, Mary Ball Washington Museum and Library of Lancaster, VA, Kentucky Genealogical Society, Virginia Genealogical Society, charter member of the National WWII Memorial and held a Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Card. She was a member of the following Hereditary Societies: Appalachian American Indians Society of WV, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, member at large, life member Colonial Order of the Crown of Charlemagne, life member National Society Magna Charta Dames, Royal Bruce Society in American as a descendant of Robert The Bruce, Family of Bruce Society in America, charter member Society of Descendants of the Order of Queen Boadicea, life member Sovereign Colonial Society Americans of Royal Descent, National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, The Plantagenet Society, life member Society of Descendants of Knights of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and National Society Daughters of the Union 1861-1865. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne M. Plymale, Jr. and a grandson, David Wayne Plymale Survivors include three sons: Wayne Mark Plymale III of Knoxville, TN, David Scott Plymale of Columbus, GA and Brett Carter Plymale of Beckley, WV; one brother, Dr. Harold G. Farley of Memphis, TN;two granddaughters: Stephanie Adams of Whitesburg, KY and Tiffany Ann Hall of Oak Hill, WV and a great grandson, David Lee Adams of Whitsburg, KY. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Services will be 2:00 PM at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, Oak Hill on Sunday, December 3, 2006 with Father Roy Gene Crist officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, 345 Kelly Avenue, Oak Hill WV 25901.
