Mildred Frances "Mom" Street Dodson , 83, of Scarbro, WV died on Monday, May 29, 2006 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born July 03, 1922 at Mulga, AL she was the daughter of the late William Eugene Street and Nellie Ethel Edna Morgan.. She was the most wonderful mother who ever lived and was caretaker for her handicapped son for over 66 years. Mildred lived to take care of others, especially her family. She was greatly loved by everone who knew her. Mom was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and had served faitherfully until her death. Her husband, William Elmer Dodson; a daughter, Glenna Gay Dodson and a granddaughter, Susan Davis Carter preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Truman Dodson and wife, Eva, and William Larry Dodson all of Rt 1 Scarbro; two daughters, Penny Dixon and husband, Wayne, of Scarbro and Marynell Dodson Davis and husband, Denver, of Rt 1 Fayetteville; one brother, Carl Street of Green Bay, Wisc., one sister, Elaine Sandoval of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, James Denver Davis, his wife Nora, and daughter, Marilu; Marty Ryan Davis and son, Charlie; Veva Dodson, husband, Steve and children, Marysa, Katelyn, Emily and Stephanie; Julia Pack, husband, Bruce and children, Eric and Ryan; Ginger Dixon, fiancee, Jackson and children, Lyndsi, Jesse and Maddy; April Cox and husband, Roger; William Dixon, wife, Shalynn and daughter, Taya; Jonathan Dodson, wife, Kim and daughter, Zoe; Hilary Nicolau, husband, Vince and children, Ava and Evan; Amamda Smith, husband, Austin and son, Griffin; Jonathan Rohan and Christopher Rohan and grandson-in-law, Charles Carter Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday, June 1, 2006, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Friday, June 2, 2006, at 3:00 P.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill officiated by a minister from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness with a closing prayer by Giles Kaarto. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
