Mildred Eder

Mildred A. Eder,79, of Prosperity died Friday, November 21, 2003 at her home surrounded by her family. Born January 5, 1924 at Garten, WV, a daughter of the late Herbert and Avena Bryant Burton. She was a resident of Mount Hope for many years except fro the past few years. She attended the Glen Jean Church of God for many years and the last year attended the Glen Daniel Worship Center. Preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Garrett; second husband, Frank Eder; stepdad, Robert Henley; sister, Ruby McKee Laxton and brother, George Henley. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Chappell and companion Jim Hart of Danese; Ruth Donovan and husband, Roger "Tucker" of Front Royal, Va.; two sons, James "Jim" Garrett and wife, Dimmie of Oak Hill and Tommy Eder and wife, Rhonda of Prosperity; sisters, Virginia Eloise Garrett of Mount Hope and Geneva "Sis" Peters of Greenville, Va. and a very special granddaughter, Linda Manning who helped Rhonda with her care these past few weeks after she became so ill. 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. SERVICES Monday, November 24, at 2:00 PM at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Hope with Rev. Jerry Cantley officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV. Friends may call from 6 until 8 Pm Sunday at the funeral home.
