Michael Shane Thorne

Michael Shane Thorne, age 40 of Piney View, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington.

Born April 8, 1977 in Beckley, he was the son of the Raymond Lee Thorne of Prudence and Leva Smith Wheeler of Piney View.

Michael was a talented salesman having sold many products including automobiles and home improvement products. He was a veteran having served with the US Air Force and was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Survivors in addition to his mother and father, include his only child, Halie Thorne of Beckley, a sister, Sherry Greene of Mount Hope and a brother, Samson Thorne of Beckley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Pastor Lonnie Greer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
