Melvina Stanley Evans , 95, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, March 02, 2013 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born August 30, 1917 at Kayford Mountain, WV she was the daughter of the late James and Fairlena Holsten Stanley. Mrs. Evans attended the Crossroads Apostolic Holiness Church, Bradley. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William "Bill" Evans, and son-in-law, Denver Turner and as the last surviving sibling her brother, Herf Stanley and a sister, Priscilla Grant also preceded her. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Turner of Beckley, six grandchildren, John E. Turner, Tina M. Dyba, Denver W. Turner Jr., James L.Turner, Mary Arlan, and Michael L. Turner and seven great grandchildren. Services will be on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum #3 in Prosperity with Pastor Ken Owens officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the mausoleum.
